About the IP exam
The IT Passport examination is the entry-level ITPEC certification for anyone who uses IT at work — not only engineers, but also business, management, and administrative staff who need a solid grasp of how technology supports their organisation.
Unlike FE, the IP exam is a single session rather than split morning and afternoon. It runs for 120 min without a break.
Three domains. 100 multiple-choice questions across Strategy (business, legal, corporate), Management (project and service management), and Technology (IT fundamentals, databases, networks, security).
Scoring. Questions carry equal weight for a total of 1000 points. Candidates must reach the required minimum in each domain as well as overall.
